HSQ100 and HSQ300 grades of quartz material are suited to production of light guides and rods.
These two grades have different properties and specifications and the choice depends on the application. The material is drawn quartz so not used for thinner windows for optical applications as the material can have draw lines through the quartz rod.
It does have excellent properties and an economical way to produce light guides and is widely used for this application for science and industry.
